Gothenburg Landvetter Airport is Swedens second largest airport after the Arlanda airport in Stockholm. The Landvetter airport is one of two airports serving the Gothenburg region. Other airport is smaller and called Gothenburg City Airport which mainly serves as the airport for RyanAir flights. In 2006 the Gothenburg Landvetter Airport had over 4.3 million passengers. The airport is run by Swedavia which is a company owned by the state.

Between the Gothenburg Landvetter Airport and Gothenburg City you can easily transport yourself by either car, bus and taxi. By car Gothenburg city is 25km from the airport and its connected by motorway.
There is shuttle buses going between Gothenburg City and the airport called “Flygbussarna” which in Swedish means “The Fly buses”. The shuttle bus is 150 SEK return and 80 SEK one-way. At www.flygbussarna.se you can check the time table, the stops of the bus and buy your ticket. You can also buy your ticket on the bus but they only accept cash in Swedish currency.
